Everest Region Trek In Nepal

Your trekking tour of Nepal begins with an arrival at Kathmandu airport, where you will be met by our Representative for your transfer to Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city visiting Darbar Square, Hanuman Dhaoka and Swayambunath. Afternoon excursion to Bhaktapur. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Transfer to the airport for flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (altitude 2850m). The flight across the Himalayas provides spectacular views of the Himalaya Ranges on clear days. On arrival, meet your trekking guide, for your full trek briefing. Your Everest region trek begins in Lukla with a descent through the valley of the Dudh Kosi River in your trail towards the busy market town of Namche Bazaar. Today’s trek takes you through the forested valley, crossing several small streams, through the forest, towards the Sherpa village of Monjo. Overnight at the Summit Mountain Lodge in Monjo at an altitude of 2800m.

Spend the day in the picturesque village of Monjo, to acclimatise to the altitude. Overnight at the Summit Mountain Lodge in Monjo.

After breakfast, begin your trek through the scenic Dudh Kosi valley towards Namche Bazaar. The trekking route is extremely scenic, with wonderful photo opportunities of the Himalayan peaks in the surrounding areas. Around lunch time, get to Namche Bazaar, at an altitude of 3480m which is a bustling market town of the Khumbu region. Post lunch, continue trekking towards Tashinga, a peaceful little village just off the main trail to Everest. Overnight at the Summit Mountain Lodge in Tashinga at an altitude of 3500m.

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, begin your full day trek to the Tibetan Buddhist monastery of Thyangboche. You walk besides the Imja Khola River through pine and cedar woods to the small village of Phunki Tenga, from where it is a steep climb through the forest to Thyanboche. Afternoon at leisure to visit the Monastery and take in the views of the surrounding mountains. Return to Tashinga, for overnight at the Summit Mountain Lodge.

After breakfast at the lodge, begin your day of trekking headed towards Mende, via the Sherpa village of Khumjung. Khumjung, is a pretty village in a high valley, that is one of the beneficiaries from the Himalayan Trust, founded by Sir Edmund Hillary. Your trek today takes you through Syangboche before continuing along the forest trail towards Mende., Part of the zigzag trail is a steep climb up the hill, but the views from the lodge in Mende are worth the effort.! Overnight Everest Summit Lodge in Mende at an altitude of 3730m

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, begin your full day trek to the delightful village of Thame at an altitude of 3800m. The mighty snow and ice peaks of Mt. Everest serve as a back drop to your walking trail towards Thame. Tharme is also known for being the home of the world famous Sherpa mountaineer Apa Sherpa, also known as the Snow Leopard, who holds the record of conquering the Everest summit the highest number of times. On today’s trek, you also visit the Karag Monastery, one of the oldest monastery in the region, before returning to Mende. Return to Mende for overnight at the Everest Summit Lodge.

Today you begin your journey back towards Monjo enroute stopping at Namche Bazaar, and walking through the beautiful pine and rhododendron forests. Overnight at the Summit Mountain Lodge in Monjo.

After breakfast at the lodge, you begin your walk along the Dudh Kosi river towards Lukla, where your Everest region trek ends. It is now farewell to the Himalayas, your trekking guides and porters, and time for a well deserved rest at the Lodge. Overnight at the Summit Mountain Lodge in Lukla at an altitude of 2850m.

Breakfast at the lodge, followed by a transfer to Lukla airport to board your flight back to Kathmandu.
