Wildlife Journey In Eastern India

You will be met on your arrival at Guwahati airport and transferred to Kaziranga by road(220 kms/5 hrs). Kaziranga National Park, spread over an area of 430 sq kms, is a World Heritage site, and the most famous National park in Eastern India. The Kaziranga National park, in addition to being one of India’s Project Tiger Reserves, is mainly famous for the Great Indian one horned rhinoceros. Kaziranga’s landscape of sheer forests with tall elephant grass, rugged reeds, marshes & shallow pools, all add to it’s attractiveness. In addition to having the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, Kazirange is also home to several other mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. After breakfast, depart for Manas National Park by road (350 kms/08 hrs). Manas National Park situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, is also a World Heritage site. Manas National Park is the second Project Tiger Reserve in Assam, and is home to endangered and rare species of as many as 55 species of mammals, including Tigers, Rhinos, Elephants, Wild Buffalo, Gaur, Hog Deer, etc. Manas is also home to 50 species of endangered reptiles and almost 400 species of Birds, including 3 species of amphibians.
