Rohet, a small rustic village of Rajasthan sits on the edge of the Thar Desert. 45 kms south of Jodhpur, it is a great place to stop if travelling between Jodhpur and Udaipur. The area was originally a Bishnoi settlement, a local tribe of the desert state. The community settled here as it was attracted to the area due to the large lake in the town which is now home to hundreds of birds. The town is blessed with traditional charms.
